….

A night of short films.

Let the Cambridge Super 8 Group animate Sunday the 16th of December for you with “Super Anim-8″, an evening of startlingly good new Digital and Super 8 animated short films from all over the UK, Europe and the World, at The Barfly Cambridge.

The evening is in two halves, in the first half we screen delightful and delirious digital animated short films. In the second half we screen superb and sublime Super 8 short animated films.

And theres more, following the storming success of Novembers “Super 8 My Brain” we again present Q&As with rising Super 8 and Digital filmmaker, giving you a unique opportunity to explore the renaissance of Super 8 film making. So get yourself down to The Barfly Sunday the 16th of December and join us on a Super anim-8-ed journey from the history of America via crazy light abstractions to the history of a single cigarette butt on the floor.

Super Anim-8 is in support of Cambridge Super 8 an annual not for profit, all for love, Super 8 short film festival based in Cambridge, UK.

RURAL TO URBAN!

Presented by Nick Golebiewski and Marin Tockman

8PM Thursday, June 21st @ Times Up!
49 East Houston St. (between Mott & Mulberry).

http://times-up.org/

Dear Comrades!

What better day than the first day of summer to gather at the next Salon!

Here’s the topic:
Salon V. 3 – RURAL to URBAN (or URBAN to RURAL if you please)

What the salons are all about:
Vagabonds, poets, performers, artists, filmmakers, you name it, are all invited to present a story along the lines of our theme chosen every few months. RURAL to URBAN is presented as a chance for those to tell stories about where they come from, where they dream to be, and why we live the way we do. We are open to any forms of presentations as long as they are limited to 5 to 10 minutes so we can include as many people as possible.

As our hosts are the incredibly awesome people at Times UP! we encourage you to think political, environmental, and bold! Plus, there will be a special shadow puppet show presented just for you by the Nick and Marin!

If you are interested in presenting please let us know in advance. You can contact us at nickdesign(at)foedesigns.com.

See you at the Solstice!
Nick and Marin
